What is AIDC-POS?

AIDC - This technology allows users to collect data via automated means, such as RFID, bar code scanning, biometrics, smart cards, OCR (optical character recognition) or magnetic stripes, and subsequently store that data in a computer.
Solutions typically consist of bar code printers, portable data collection terminals, switches, wireless routers and software.

POS - Point of sale refers to the physical location at which goods are sold to customers. POS solutions include software terminals -- sophisticated computer replacements for cash registers -- that provide the ability to track customer orders, process credit cards and manage inventory.
Solutions may also include bar code scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers, touch-screen POS units, pole displays, credit/debit terminals, magnetic stripe readers, check readers and software.
